Carolyn B. (Coffey) Sheedy

Carolyn B. (Coffey) Sheedy, 72, a resident of Dracut and former longtime resident of the Highlands section of Lowell, died Saturday October 25, 2014 at Lowell General Hospital following a brief illness. She was the loving wife of Robert M. Sheedy of Dracut with whom she shared 44 years of marriage.
Born in Medford, on April 15, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Catherine (Donnelly) Coffey. For many years, Carolyn was a receptionist for Dr. McPartland, DMD. She and her husband raised their family in Lowell and were of the original families to develop the Lowell Youth Soccer Organization. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed traveling to many different places following their sports competitions. Some of her fondest memories were made while vacationing at Old Orchard Beach in Maine. Carolyn was a communicant of St. Margaret Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Maureen Sturzo and her husband, Joe of Lowell and Bob Sheedy and his wife, Kristy of Dracut; her grandchildren, Tyler Quealy, Samantha Sturzo, Haley Sheedy, Joey Sturzo and Logan Sheedy; her step children and their children, Kelly Roper of Brookline, Bonnie Mullen and her husband, Dave of Townsend, Lindsay Roper, Stephen Roper, Alyssa Glennon and Sean Mullen; a brother, Charlie Coffey and his wife Sheila of Southington, CT; brothers and sisters-in-law, Patricia Martel and her husband, Bill of Lowell, Kathy Rondeau of Lowell, and Richie Sheedy and his wife, Nancy of Greensburg, PA; many nieces and nephews.
