Carol R. (Laffey) Nyberg - Loving wife, mother, grandmother
HUDSON, NH - Carol R. (Laffey) Nyberg, 77, a resident of Hudson, NH, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at her home with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of James B. “Jay” Nyberg, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.
Born in Lowell on August 20, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Simone (Rocheleau) Laffey.
Carol was a graduate of St. Louis Parochial School and St. Louis Academy, Class of 1965.
She was employed by the Raytheon Company in their Andover and Tewksbury locations, retiring in 2009.
Carol’s pride and joy were her yard and home, she took meticulous care to make sure everything was just perfect.
Carol enjoyed trips to the beach and vacationing with her family but the time she cherished most was time spent with her loving grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Kathryn Parish in Hudson, NH.
In addition to her husband Jay, she leaves two children, Kevin J. Nyberg and his wife Alexandra of Windham, NH and Kim M. Normand and her husband James “Jay” of Hudson, NH, four grandchildren, Emily and Sarah Nyberg and Audrey and Lindsay Normand; three sisters, Donna Jean and her husband Richard, Linda Flynn and her husband Richard, all of Dracut and Sharon St. Onge and her husband David of Lowell; also, a niece and several nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Carol’s Life Celebration on Thursday from 4 until 7 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10 AM in St. Kathryn Church, 4 Dracut Road, Hudson, NH. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
