J. Carol (Pickard) Narbonne, a resident of Dracut, the beloved wife of Robert O. Narbonne, died on Sunday, September 6, 2015 with her family by her side. She was 84.
Born in Chelmsford on December 11, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Ray H. and Effie D. (Adams) Pickard.
Carol grew up and was educated in Chelmsford and lived there for many years before moving to Dracut.
She was a lifelong member of the Central Baptist Church in Chelmsford, where she also served as a deacon.
For a time Carol worked in the meat department at the former Purity Supreme in Chelmsford. She enjoyed knitting and her flower gardens. Carol was an avid beach goer. Her chair was set at Hampton Beach by 9:00 AM and she stayed until 7:00PM. Carol would then take her children to Salisbury for the amusement park.
Carol was a sweet woman who was kind and loving. Most of all for Carol it was about family. Her family was her pride and joy. She cherished every moment with them. Her greatest accomplishment in life was her five children, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving her besides her husband of 59 years are her five children and their spouses, Karen and Robert Tollick of Litchfield, NH, Maureen and Donald Lamothe of Hudson, NH, Robert Narbonne of Hudson, NH, Deborah and Raymond Saucier of Dracut, Joanne and Todd Maille of Dracut; nine grandchildren, James Tollick and his wife Krystal, Mark Tollick, Grace Tollick, Matthew Lamothe and his wife Christine, Meaghan Lamothe, Nick Lamothe, Corey Saucier, Jessica Maille and her partner Shawn DePaul, April Maille and fiancé Matthew Long; four great grandchildren, Maddison DePaul, Ava DePaul, Nathan Lamothe, Brandon, Lamothe; a sister Beverly Mackey of Chelmsford; a sister in law Connie Pickard of Chelmsford; a niece Colleen McArdle of Chelmsford. She was also the sister of the late Raymond "Bo" Pickard and Ronald Pickard and aunt of the late Roger Mackey.
Her family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Sunny Acres Nursing Home, especially Kim Wisenburg her hospice aide, for the exceptional care and compassion, shown to Carol during her illness.
