Carol Joyce (Pilotte) Hodgson

DRACUT – Carol J. (Pilotte) Hodgson, 82, a lifelong resident of Dracut died gracefully Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at her home with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late James A. Hodgson, Jr. who died in 1983.

She was born in Lowell on January 13, 1934, and was a daughter of the late Arthur and Catherine (White) Pilotte.

Early in life Carol was employed by Lowell Electric. She then went on to raise her family and then became a Certified Nursing Assistant and was employed by Tewksbury State Hospital and then by the E.N. Rogers V.A. Hospital in Bedford.

She had a tremendous love of music and singing. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed camping and fishing.

Carol is survived by her seven children, James and Barbara Hodgson, Joyce and David Boyd, Linda and Joseph Gargan, Eileen Ward, William Hodgson, John and Sherry Hodgson, and Kathy and Frank Sarakas, who was also Carol's caretaker for the last several years. She was also survived by 21 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
