Carol A. (Paquette) Clohesy, widow of Robert G. Clohesy with whom she celebrated 44 years of marriage at the time of his death, died peacefully at her Tyngsboro residence on Friday, October 28, 2016, surrounded by her family at the age of 70.
Carol was born in Lowell on November 15, 1945, a daughter of the late Victor and Shirley (Patrie) Paquette.
Carol and Bob established and ran Clohesy Construction for 42 years until his death in 2006. While working together, Carol utilized her artistic abilities to airbrush all of the statues. Carol instructed macramé classes, ran the retail store, and still was the perfect homemaker.
Carol was an energetic and full spirited person. Her love of people was evident wherever she was, striking up conversation. The Clohesy house was the place to be. Whether it was the holidays, a birthday, or Sunday, she was always entertaining. Carol was an avid crafter, which was evident looking around her yard and home. She looked forward to the changing seasons and decorating her home for each one.
She cherished her Sundays with her family, and spending time at "the beach". Her home and yard were her favorite places to be. She took great pride in them. Most days passers by could find Carol puttering around outside. She was always planting, pruning, cutting, and maintaining the grounds.
Survivors include her three children and their spouses, Robert and Shannon Clohesy of Tyngsboro, Donald and Annemarie Clohesy of Lowell, Sharon Clohesy and Barbara Ferreira of Tyngsboro; four grandchildren, Bobby, Jr., Ashley, Donny, Jr., Patrick; a sister, Dorothy Desmarais of Lowell; a brother Raymond Paquette of WV; and several nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Danny Clohesy and sister in law of the late Paul Desmarais.
