Carol Ann (Sheehan) Gagne … loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother

Carol Ann (Sheehan) Gagne, 86, a resident of Hudson, NH, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Ronald J. Gagne who passed in 2011.

Born in Medford on July 2, 1940, she was a daughter of the late John and Gladys (Doyle) Sheehan. She spoke fondly of her childhood spent with cousins, at dance and in summer camps in Maine.

A former resident of the Christian Hill neighborhood in the Centralville section of Lowell, she had been a communicant of St. Michael Church.

In her early career, Carol worked on Newbury Street in Boston in the investment industry. She spent decades working at Sanders Associates in Nashua, NH as an administrative assistant to her beloved “engineers.” Ahead of her time, Carol was a computer “wiz.” She even taught her grandchildren how to type, oftentimes resorting to dictation to ensure a job well done.

In her retired years, Carol and Ron worked together at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium. When they weren’t busy working security for the likes of Roberta Flack, Barbara Bush and Bruce Springsteen, Ronnie and Carol would take their boat to Lake Winnipesauke, hosting family and friends as often as possible.

Carol also filled her time visiting with her “social” group the Lush-Us Ladies, partaking in book clubs, knitting, reading, listening to classical music, and watching musicals, and traveling.

Most especially, Carol enjoyed caring for and spending quality time with her grandchildren. She traveled with them across the country and the world.

She leaves her children, Robert Gagne of Lowell, Christina Phillips and late husband Richard of Hudson, NH and Suzanne McCarthy and her husband Stephen of Lowell; six grandchildren, Joshua Manty and his wife Jessica, Jarod Phillips, Jonathan Phillips, Christian McCarthy, Sheehan Davis and her husband Phillip, Jordan McCarthy and Nick Healy; five great grandchildren, Dustin, Zoey, Thomas, Riley and Scout.

Relatives and friends are invited to Carol’s Funeral Mass on Friday morning at

10 AM at St. Michael Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to: Dracut Parker Memorial Library, 28 Arlington St., Dracut, MA 01826.
