Carlene M. (Carnevale) Creegan, age 76, a resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell, died May 15th at her home with her loving family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Paul G. Creegan Sr. with whom she was married for 55 years.
Born in Lowell on March 27, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Jennie (Barone) Carnevale.
She was a graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1955, where she was a Girl Officer.
Upon graduating from Lowell High School, Carlene was employed at Raytheon in Bedford, MA where she was later promoted to Supervisor. After taking time to raise her family, she later returned to Raytheon in Lowell, MA where was employed as a Configuration Analyst in the Engineering Department until her retirement.
Carlene was known for her bright smile, sunny disposition, compassion for others, and had a great love of nature and animals, especially dogs and horses. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends in Lake George, NY in the summertime and fall. Carlene also enjoyed her trips to Foxwoods with her niece Judy. She was a volunteer along with her husband Paul for Pop Warner Football in Lowell for many years and also belonged to the Friends of Lowell High School. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her.
In addition to her husband, she leaves two sons, Joseph who cared for her and Paul Jr. and his wife Suzanne (Beland) and their two sons Colin and Brett of Lowell; a brother, John Carnevale of Dracut; three sisters, Camilla Makarweicz of Lowell, Mary Milot and her husband Fernand of Dracut and Virginia Sheehan of Lowell; sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Jeanne Carnevale of Lowell, Frank and Barbara Creegan of Chestertown, MD and Patricia Kelly of No. Chelmsford; as well as several nieces and nephews, especially her godchild Kerry Sheehan and her spouse Becky Zehr of Tyngsboro. She was a sister of the late Grace Dunn, Rita Foley, Daniel Vale and Joseph P. Carnevale, Jr.
