Carl G. Larose

Litchfield, NH — Carl G. Larose, beloved husband of Donna (Firth) Larose, passed away on April 10, 2026, at his home in Litchfield following a two-year battle with cancer. He was 66.

Born in Lowell, MA, on December 7, 1959, he was the son of the late Maurice and Therese (Belanger) Larose. Carl grew up in Dracut and moved to Litchfield with Donna more than 40 years ago, where they built a life together.

Carl began his career in the electronics field at the age of 18 and went on to work for many years as a research and development engineer and network administrator for Biotage, formerly Horizon Technology. He retired at the age of 62.

A true homebody, Carl enjoyed tinkering and was known as the ultimate handyman—there wasn't anything he couldn’t fix. He had a passion for cars and motorcycles, especially his Harley-Davidson, as well as his collection of antique cars. He also took great pride in collecting and restoring antique radios. Above all, Carl cherished time spent with his family.

In addition to his wife, Donna, with whom he shared 48 years of marriage and celebrated their anniversary on the day of his passing, Carl is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Damion Cortes of Dallas, GA; his grandson, Cain Cortes; his siblings and their spouses, Denise and George Fyrer of Hampton, NH; Adele and Ted Maddocks of Wells, VT; Joseph Larose of Stoneham, MA; Eric Larose of Killington, VT; and Ann and Casimir Zlocki of Aurora, OH; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Carl’s wishes, funeral services were held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Friends of Feline Rescue Center, 14597 Power Dam Road, Defiance, OH 43512.
