Camille W. Levasseur, 82, of Hudson, formerly a longtime Lowell resident, died Thursday March 4, 2010 at the Lowell General Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Lillian I. (Renaud) Levasseur with whom he was married for more than 58 years.
Born in Lowell on March 12, 1927, he was a son of the late Ernest and Alice (Lessard) Levasseur.
In 1945, Camille enlisted in the United States Navy serving during WWII earning the rank of Coxswain.
In addition to his wife, Camille is survived by seven children and their spouses, Susan Isabelle and her husband, John of Dracut, Marianne Van Dinter and her husband, Walter of Lowell, Denise Houston and her husband, James of Lowell, Michelle Spiller and her husband, William of Dracut, Marc Levasseur and his wife, Kara of Hudson, NH, Scott Levasseur and his wife, Jennifer of Dracut, Eileen Renaud of Helendale, CA; a sister and brother-in-law, Rachel Rancourt and Rene of Dracut; 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Raymond, Roger, Richard and Marcel Levasseur and Priscilla Copley.
