Camil D. Bergeron

April 23, 1929 — June 15, 2010

LOWELL - Camil D. "Red" Bergeron, 81, a resident of the Christian Hill neighborhood in the Centralville section of Lowell, died Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at a local nursing home with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Lucille I. (Perry) Bergeron, with whom he would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on November 17, 2010.
Born in Montreal, P.Q., Canada on April 23, 1929, he was a son of the late Alpherie and Rose Marie (Dion) Bergeron.
Mr. Bergeron was a graduate of Lowell High School.
He retired from the Baron Peters Corporation of Lowell where he worked as a production manager. Early in his marriage he also worked a side job as a photographer.
He was a communicant of St. Michael Church for many years.
In recent years, he most enjoyed spending time at the Merrimack River watching his grandchildren, Adam and Erinn, compete on the Lowell High School Crew Team.
His hobbies included woodworking, gardening and fishing.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Denise L. Bergeron and Diane M. McLaughlin and her husband Andrew, all of Lowell; a son, David J. Bergeron and his wife Beth of Glen, NH; a sister, Pauline L. Bergeron of Lowell; seven grandchildren, Melissa Wilkinson and her husband Shaun, Adam and Erinn McLaughlin, David, Daniel, Nicholas and Samantha Bergeron; eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Juliette Chaisson.
