Brian M. Kinney, formerly of Lowell, passed away on December 31, 2024, at his Nashua, NH home. He was 48.

Born in Lowell on April 2, 1976, he was the son of the late Leo Kinney and Virginia (Graham) Kinney of Nashua, NH who survives him.

Brian was a 1994 graduate of the Greater Lowell Technical High School, where he excelled in the Carpentry program. He went on to graduate from UMASS Lowell with a degree in criminal justice.

Brian was employed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons stationed at Fort Devens. He went on to become a police officer for the City of Lowell in 2001 and served as a K-9 officer.

Brian loved being outdoors. He enjoyed camping and hiking. Brian liked putting his carpentry skills to good use and looked forward to helping anyone with them.

Surviving Brian besides his mother Virginia are his two sons Alexander Kinney, USN, and Ethan Kinney of Dracut and their mother, Kimberly Neault; his brothers Dennis Kinney and his wife Katie of Tyngsboro, Joe Kinney and his husband Michael Galante of Hudson, NH; his niece Tayla Kinney and her fiancé Eric Fantini of Chelmsford; and many friends. He was the uncle and Godfather of the late Cole Kinney.

Relatives and friends are invited to Brian's Life Celebration in the McKenna-Ouellette Funeral Home, 327 Hildreth Street, from 3 until 7 PM on Monday, January 13. Funeral prayers will follow at 7 PM. Burial will be private.
