Brenton Thomas "Brent" Mackinnon

BRANDON, VT - Brenton Thomas "Brent" Mackinnon, III, age 41, a resident of Brandon, VT died unexpectedly Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at his home.

He was born in Taunton, MA on June 27, 1978, and was a son of Denise (Gourdeau) Mackinnon and the late Brenton T. Mackinnon, Jr.. He received his education in Taunton schools and St. Johnsbury Academy in Vermont. He was currently an honors student at the Community College of Vermont.

As a child, Brent participated in the Young Marines in Taunton.

He was a volunteer firefighter for the Orwell, VT Fire Department.

In his free time, Brent enjoyed watching sports, especially the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox.

In addition to his mother and her fiancé Gary Noel, Brent is survived by his two daughters, whom he loved dearly, Alexyss Denise Mackinnon and Alyssa Ann MacKinnon, both of Vermont; his brother, Michael Anthony Mackinnon of Stuart, FL; his nephew, Walter Fry Mackinnon; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was also the grandson of the late William F. and Barbara Ann Mason, Toney J. and Carol Ann Williamson, Brenton T. Mackinnon, Sr., and Edward W. Gourdeau.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Brent's Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Saturday, February 15th from 12:00 until 2:00 PM followed by his Funeral Service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Brent's Family would like to invite everyone to a memorial luncheon from 3:00 until 5:30 PM at the Village Inn (the building in the rear), 544 Broadway Rd., Dracut. Burial will be private.
