Brenda E. "Liz" McMeniman

LOWELL - Brenda Elizabeth “Liz” (Cloutier) McMeniman, age 78, a longtime resident of Lowell died unexpectedly Friday June 28, 2024 after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of Daniel J. McMeniman, to whom she was with for 42 years. 

She was born in Lynn on October 19, 1945, and was a daughter of the late Gerard and Shirley (Baldwin) Cloutier. She was a graduate of Lowell High School. 

Prior to her retirement, Liz was employed for many years as an inspector by Benchmark Electronics in Hudson, NH. Earlier in her career she was employed by Sky Computers in Chelmsford. 

She loved all animals and spending time in the White Mountains, especially in Bethlehem, NH. She also enjoyed her trips to Top Donut in Lowell and Grand 38 Restaurant in Pelham, NH. Her greatest joy however, was spending time in the company of her loving family, especially her adoring grandchildren and great grandchild. 

Liz was a good soul and truly loved all people. She always made sure to say hello to everyone around her and to make sure that they are doing okay, even complete strangers. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons, Douglas T. Gagnon and his wife April of Pelham, NH and Jeffrey P. Gagnon and his significant other Karen Howell of Dracut and Karen’s sons, Timothy Howell his wife Ariela Howell and Kyle Farwell; two grandchildren, Douglas Gagnon, II and Dakota Gagnon; a great grandson, Gage Gagnon; a brother, William Cloutier of Lowell; two sisters, Alice McLaughlin and Shirley Cloutier, both of Lowell; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Liz’s Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, on Monday, July 8th from 4:00pm until 7:00pm followed by her Funeral Service at 7:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Liz’s memory to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
