Blanche B. Bonin

Blanche B. (Bowen) Bonin, age 85, died peacefully on Saturday, July 18, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert A. Bonin.

Born in Lowell on September 27, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Jeanette G. (Chevalier) and George H. Bowen. Deep rooted in caring for others and helping those in need, she worked for many years as a certified nursing assistant for Tewksbury State Hospital.

Blanche was a communicant of St. Michael Church and loved attending mass. Outside of her faith, she enjoyed bingo, word games and watching crime shows. Her true devotion was to her family and the memorable moments spent going out for meals with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Maureen Leandro and her husband, Frank of Salem, NH, Cheryl Bucci and her husband, Robert of Tewksbury, Christine Buckley and her longtime companion, Kenny Conlin and Michelle Toohey and her husband, Rick of Merrimack, NH; her nineteen grandchildren; her twelve great-grandchildren; her two great-great grandchildren; her brothers, Edward, John and Raymond Bowen all of NH; second mother to Krista Stamp of Manchester, NH; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Blanche was the mother of the late Carol Reid, Kimberly Emerson and Frederick Buckley, Jr. and sister of the late Jeannette Taylor, George Bowen and Robert Bowen.

Relatives and friends are invited to Blanche’s Life Celebration on Thursday, July 30, 2026 from 4 until 7 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 12 PM at St. Michael Church, Lowell. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
