OBITUARY
LOWELL - Bertha L. (Laferriere) Surprenant, 92, a Lowell resident, died Monday, July 25, 2005 at Saints Memorial Medical Center. She was the widow of Ernest W. Surprenant.
The last surviving child of 17 children, she was born in Lowell on June 16, 1913 a daughter of the late Joseph and Eva (Geoffroy) Laferriere.
Mrs. Surprenant was a communicant of the former St. Jean Baptiste Church in Lowell.
She is survived by four sons, Roger Surprenant of Elyria, OH, Ernest W. Surprenant Jr. and his wife Helen of Lowell, Maurice Surprenant of Dracut and Walter Surprenant and his companion Pat, of NH; three daughters, Theresa M. Gendron and her husband Edmond of Wolfeboro, NH, Yvette Martineau of Lowell and Claire Watson and her husband James of Dracut; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Robert Surprenant.
