NASHUA, NH – After a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer, Mr. Bernard F. "Ben" Casey, Jr. passed away peacefully at the Community Hospice House located in Merrimack, NH on December 1, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.
Ben was the loving and devoted husband of Kathy (Borella) Casey with whom he shared 29 years of marriage. He was the loving father to his daughters, Elizabeth and Kelly Casey who loved him dearly.
Born in Lowell on July 14, 1956, he was the beloved son of the late Bernard and Patricia (Vengren) Casey. Ben was currently employed as a machinist by Dielectric Sciences Inc. in Chelmsford, MA. At this time, our family would like to sincerely thank all of his friends at Dielectric Sciences for their care and support.
Ben is also survived by his devoted brothers and sisters, whom he affectionately referred to as his Cavalry: Richard Casey and his wife Doris, Patricia Chumack and her husband Bob, Kathleen Tavares, Shawn Casey and his wife Kathy, Colleen Benoit and her husband Walter, Anne Alvino and her husband Andrew, Mary Marzec and her husband John and Eileen Rondeau and her husband Bruce, as well as his sisters-in laws Donna Cerrato, Pam Anderson and Jody Kovacek. Ben is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother and father-in-law, Chubby and Chickie Borella, as well as his brother-in-law, James A. Tavares, Jr.
Our family would like to thank the infusion staff at Mass General Hospital, as well as the nursing staff at St. Joseph's Hospital in Nashua and the Community Hospice House for the care and compassion bestowed upon our beloved Ben. You are truly appreciated.
