Lowell - Bernadette A. (Emond) Metcalf, 70, beloved wife of Carl L. Metcalf with whom she was married for 50 years, a Lowell resident died Sunday April 15, at the Lowell General Hospital.
She was born in Lowell on March 16, 1937, a daughter of the late Moise and Irene (Tellier) Emond.
Bernadette was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, whose enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving her besides her husband are four daughters, Joan Stimpson and her husband James of Lowell, Janet Yu of Lowell, Elizabeth McConnell and her husband Stephen of Worcester, Carol Metcalf of Lowell; a son Gary Metcalf of Lowell; ten grandchildren, Christine, Scott, Missy, Jenny, Kelly, Michael, Jamie, Ryan, Zachary, Chyann; two great grand daughters, Savannah and Haley; a sister Rita Wajnor of Lowell; two brothers, Arthur Emond of Lowell, Henry Mainville; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Theresa Janowicz, Hector Mainville, and Lionel Emond, and grandmother of the late Selena.
