Dracut, MA. Beatrice Marie "Chou" (Larocque) Taylor of Dracut, 85, died October 6 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston after a brief illness.
She was born September 10, 1922, the daughter of the late Albert F. and Marie (Hervieux) Larocque and was the wife of the late Walter T. Taylor who predeceased her in 1976. Mrs. Taylor lived in Dracut for almost sixty years.
As a young woman, she worked at Lark Dress. She cared for three young children as her husband finished his service in the US Navy, and later worked at the Yum Yum Shop and the rectory of St. Mary's in Dracut, among several other jobs. She was also a member of the Dracut Senior Citizens Club. Her later years were spent caring for her grandchildren, learning how to drive, making things with her hands, shopping with her friends, and enjoying bingo.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Mary Jeanne (Taylor) and Dennis Williams of Nashua, NH, with whom she lived for many years in Dracut, and Anne Marie (Taylor) (Taylor) Grande of Dracut, and a sister, Jeanne Leary of Palm Beach Gardens, FL. She leaves behind five grandchildren, Christine Brown, Kristine (Williams) Fitzgerald, Michael Williams, Kenneth Williams and Donald Taylor, and three great-grandchildren, Luke, Emma and John Fitzgerald, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is the mother of the late Richard M. Brown, who predeceased her in 1975. She was the sister of the late Estelle Ramsbottom, Cecile Larose, Leo Larocque and Blanche Pelletier of Lowell, Rene Larocque of Sebastian, FL, Emile Larocque of Fairless Hills, PA, Louis Larocque of Visalia, CA, Gerald Larocque of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and Robert Larocque of San Diego, CA.
