Beatrice Y. Lalonde
Loving wife, mother and grandmother
LOWELL – Beatrice Y. (Langlais) Lalonde, 88, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, died Monday evening, May 9, 2011, at a local nursing facility. She was the wife of Alfred J. Lalonde, Jr. with whom she would have celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on September 6th of this year.
Born in Lowell on October 31, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Jean Baptiste and Rose Alba (Proulx) Langlais.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Boott Mills of Lowell.
She was a communicant of Ste. Marguerite D’Youville Parish in Dracut, but was a parishioner of the former St. Louis de France Parish.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her son, Robert J. Lalonde of Lowell; her daughter, Dorothy “Dot” Kaknes and her husband Paul of Lowell; three grandchildren, Stephanie Cotton and her husband Nick, Natalie Kaknes and Robert J. Lalonde, Jr.; two great grandchildren, Elyssa and Nathan Cotton; a brother-in-law, three sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
