DRACUT – Miss Beatrice Champagne, a resident of Dracut since 1981, died Wednesday morning, March 23, 2011, at a local nursing facility. She was 103 years old.
Born in Lowell on October 21, 1907, she was a daughter of the late Alcide B. and Exilda (Desrosiers) Champagne.
Prior to her retirement, Miss Champagne worked for various textile mills in the greater Lowell and Manchester, NH areas.
A long time resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, she was a communicant of the former St. Louis de France Church.
She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces, great grandnephews. She was a sister of the late Exilia Champagne, Alcide B. Champagne, Jr., Marie-Ange Champagne, Joseph Champagne, Joseph Hildege Champagne, Claire Dominique, Bernadette Champagne, Leonard Champagne, Fabiola England, Florence Thurber, Rodolphe Champagne and Andre Champagne.
