Beatrice M. (VanSanford) Larrabee, beloved wife of the late Richard J. Larrabee a resident of Dracut and formerly Tewksbury, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Thursday, March 23, 2017. She was 83.
She was born in Fulton, NY on March 12, 1934, a daughter of the late Arlon and Losha (Weaver) VanSanford.
Bea grew up in NY. She moved to Tewksbury where she raised her family, prior to moving to Dracut several years ago.
Bea was the ultimate homemaker and daycare provider. She enjoyed quilting, tending to her gardens, baking and reading. Family was paramount to Bea. She loved all of the time spent with them, especially her grandchildren. She always knew how to make them feel special. Bea relished her role as caregiver to her grandchildren.
She was adventurous, always looking forward to her trips. She enjoyed hiking and especially her recent hike celebrating her eldest daughters birthday. Bea was getting ready for her upcoming Mediterranean cruise.
She was involved in Marriage Encounter, TEC and taught CCD for many years from her home in Tewksbury.
Survivors include her seven children and their spouses, Robin and Richard Marsan of Branford, CT, Richard J. Larrabee, Jr. and Susan Dichkewich of Lake Worth, FL, Beth and Mark Lamminen of Mason, NH, Jill and David Glaeske of Great Falls, MT, Kara and Mike Ruggeri of Danville, NH, Mark Larrabee of Lawrence, Lori and John Lane of Dracut; sixteen grandchildren, Mellysa Caamano and her husband Manny, Michael Marsan, Matthew Marsan and his wife Della, Turi Manuel, Justin Manuel, Bonnie Walter, Keegan Lane, Shaye Lane, Kobi Lane, Alaina Larrabee, Joseph Larabee, Aimee Risteen, Dee Wargo, Shelly Risteen, Sara, Josh; four great grandchildren, Zaharla, Makaya, Brayden, Cole; a brother, Bob Weaver of Colorado; two sisters Marie Daub of North Adams, Betty Spafford of NY; several nieces and nephews. Beatrice was predeceased by her daughter Gail Manuel.
