DRACUT – Barry Eric Paul Dion, 55, a resident of Dracut, died following a brief illness on Wednesday morning, October 28, 2015 at the Lowell General Hospital.
Born in Lowell on May 27, 1960, he was a son of the late Victor A. Dion and Eleanore A. (Dubois) Dion of Dracut who survives him.
Barry was a graduate of St. Michael Parochial School and Greater Lowell Technical High School where he studied plumbing.
Following high school he worked in the trades as a union carpenter with Local 33 for 28 years.
He enjoyed playing cards, darts or pool and had been a season ticket holder for Golden Gloves boxing.
In addition to his mother Eleanore, Barry leaves two children, Melissa M. (Dion) Dempsey and her husband Colin of Billerica and Eric P. Dion of Somerville; three siblings, Roger V. Dion and his wife Irene of FL, Nancy E. (Dion) Maille and her husband Robert of FL and Frank N. Dion of Dracut; his former wife, Marianne Wilkins of Dracut; also several nieces and nephews.
