Barry David Chevalier, Jr, a resident of Provincetown, and the beloved life partner of Tim Hazel died unexpectedly on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the Brigham & Women's Hospital, Boston. He was 47.

Barry was born in Lowell on January 27, 1969, a son of the late Donna (Evicci) Pepin, Barry D. Chevalier of Dracut, his step mother Patricia Chevalier of Dracut, and stepfather Edward Pepin of Lowell.

Barry grew up and was educated in Lowell. He moved to Provincetown about 10 years ago.
An eclectic person, Barry's interests were as wide ranging and diverse as he was. He worked as a hairdresser, landscaper, and host at Tiny's restaurant in Provincetown. When life at Provincetown quieted down for the winter, he would retire to Peaks Island in Maine until the next season began.
He loved nature and the outdoors, whether it was at the beach or in the woods, Barry was at his best outside. He was a Wiccan and practiced the religion of Wicca.Barry also took pleasure in painting, and became an accomplished artist. He studied herbalism and came to be an herbalist. Barry made many salves for his friends and relatives.
An outgoing personality, Barry made friends wherever his adventures took him. He and his mother Donna loved the movie Practical Magic. They would watch it whenever they could.

Surviving him besides his partner, parents and step parents are his grandparents, Rita Evicci, Peachy and Gerome Chevalier all of Tyngsboro; brothers and sisters and their spouses, Roger and Sherry Pepin of Salem, NH, Tammy and James Dauteuil of Lowell, Michael and Kristen Pepin of Dracut, Kenneth and Malynda Pepin of Lowell, Kelly Linehan of Dracut; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
