Barbara A. Olin, 62, a Lowell resident, died peacefully surrounded by her husband, children and children-in-law on Monday, March 28, 2011 at the Lowell General Hospital, following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Edward M. Olin of the Centralville section of the city.
Born in Lowell on September 13, 1948, she was a daughter of Clarence E. David of Londonderry, NH and the late Patricia A. (Taff) David.
For more than thirty-five years, Barbara was employed as a fiscal administrator by Merrimack Valley Legal Services. She was a very caring and dedicated employee and firmly believed in the mission of the organization. Helping people in need was something very important to Barbara and whenever possible, she would find a way to be charitable.
Vacationing on Cape Cod and in the New Hampshire Lakes Region was something Barbara always looked forward to with her husband and family. She was very crafty and found pleasure in crocheting and most recently cross-stitching. She had a special bond with her adorable cat, Sally.
Above all things, she loved her family unconditionally and they will miss her every day.
