Barbara L. (Rider) Michaud … loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother

LOWELL - Barbara L. (Rider) Michaud, 88, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024, with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert J. Michaud.

She was born in Fort Monroe, Virginia, on October 7, 1935, a daughter of the late Sherman and Gabrielle (Chaput) Rider.

Barbara was a graduate of St. Louis Academy, Class of 1954. 

Barbara had laboratory training at the former St. Joseph’s Hospital followed by employment at the Lowell General Hospital where she worked for over 35 years as a medical laboratory technician, retiring in 2006.

She leaves two children and their spouses, John and Lorraine Michaud of Dracut and Cindy and James Kane of Lowell; six grandchildren, Renée Gabree and her husband Mark, Nicole Phelps and her husband Jordan, Lisa Rubine and her husband Dan, Kevin Michaud and his wife Shelby, Erin Kane, Kylie Wells and her husband Andrew; three great grandchildren, Ben and Greyson Gabree and Madeline Rubine. She also leaves a dear friend, Donald Agostinelli. She was a sister of the late Sherman E. Rider and Beverly Harper.
