Barbara Ann (Descoteaux) Breton

WINDHAM, NH - Barbara Ann (Descoteaux) Breton, 78, a resident of Windham, NH, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, following a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of Robert E. Breton for the last 58 years, who was by her side as she passed.

Born in Dracut on July 4, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Maude (Hepworth) Descoteaux.

Barbara grew up in Lowell's Centralville neighborhood, and was a graduate of St. Louis de France Elementary School and Lowell High School. She worked at the former Fort Devens, and along with her husband Bob, was the owner/operator of Ideal Food Store (the former Flynn's Market) which was located on Sixth Street in Lowell, for nearly a decade.

Barbara enjoyed cooking, bowling, computer games, and a variety of television shows.
She was a communicant of St. Michael's Church in Lowell, but for the last 30 years at St.
Matthew's Church in Windham, NH.

In addition to her husband she leaves her son and daughter-in-law, Rob and Holly Breton; five grandchildren, Kayla, Allison, Zachary, Diana and Eva Breton; also several nieces and nephews. She was a sister of the late Tom, Harold and Roger Descoteaux, Inez Cote, Jeannette Paquette, Betty Kildall, Beatrice Estrella, Pauline Bourassa, Jane Chaput and Sylvia Descoteaux.

SERVICES - Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Barbara's Memorial Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Wednesday, March 14, at 10:00 AM in St. Matthew Church, 2 Searles Road, Windham, NH. Interment at a later date in the New Cemetery on the Plain, Windham, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
