LOWELL - Arthur V. "Arty" Langlois, Jr., 60, a Lowell resident, passed away with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, September 21, at the Lawrence General Hospital following a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was the loving husband of Alberta L. "Ally" (Glover) Langlois, with whom he was married for 23 years.
Born in Lowell on April 15, 1961, he was a son of the late Arthur V. and Irene R. (Beland) Langlois.
Arty was a graduate of Greater Lowell Technical High School, Class of 1979, and received his electrical license. Prior to his illness, he worked for several companies and as an independent contractor.
As a youth and into his teens, Arty spent his summers at Lakeshore Park in Gilford, NH where he met many lifelong friends.
An avid Boston sports fan, he enjoyed watching the Patriots and Bruins. He loved spending time with his children, watching the games with his son Arthur and discussing schoolwork and grades with his daughter Nina. He was very proud of both of them.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two children, Nina M. Langlois of Middleboro and Arthur B. Langlois of Hyannis; a sister and her husband, Renee M. and John C. McArthur of Dracut; a niece, Lorinda M. McArthur of Dracut; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to Arty's Memorial Visitation on Saturday, September 25, from 2:00 until 5:30 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street.
