Antoinette M. "Toni" Kelleher

Antoinette M. “Toni” (DePrenda) Kelleher, age 97, of Dracut, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 15, 2024.

She was born in Lowell on July 9, 1926, and was a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Maria DePrenda, She was predeceased by her husband, James J. Kelleher in 1974, and her son Lawrence (Larry) Kelleher in 2005.

Toni is survived by her three children, Cynthia Kelleher and her husband Ralph DiPesa, James Kelleher and his wife, Barbara, and Judith Kelleher, her devoted caregiver. 

She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Kristen Kelleher, Kathryn Kelleher, and James J. Kelleher and his wife Janeen, her three great-grandchildren, James J. Kelleher (JJ), Jianna, and Jordan Kelleher. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. 

Her first job was at Prince Macaroni in Lowell where she worked prior to raising her family.  She was also a longtime employee of Jordan Marsh, from where she retired. Toni enjoyed spending her time reading and doing puzzles. Mostly she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. All of her holidays were spent with them making each celebration a special memory for all to cherish.

In addition, she was predeceased by her sisters Eleanor Grossi and Angelina Volonino, and her brother Vito DePrenda.

The family wishes to thank the amazing nursing staff and physicians at Lowell General Hospital for their care. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Antoinette’s Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME,

327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Monday from 4:00pm until 7:00pm.  Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00am at St. Michael Church in Lowell.  Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery in Lowell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Antoinette’s memory to St. Michael School, 21 Sixth St., Lowell, MA 01850.
