Anthony J. Silvia

Anthony J. Silvia, 83, a resident of Dracut, died Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband for 63 years of Michelina T. (Perrone) Silvia who passed away on August 28, 2010.
Born in East Boston on March 31, 1927, He was a son of Emma Mora.
Tony served in the United States Navy during WWII serving on the U.S.S. Xenia.
For more than 27 years, Anthony was employed by the Xerox Corporation as a production manager.
Anthony was a communicant of St. Francis Church where he attended daily Mass and was also a member of the regional musical group The Gentlemen Songsters.
He will be remembered by his family as a devoted family man and a true gentlemen who adored his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by three children, Linda Carolan and her husband Raymond of Dracut, Carol Sholes of Dracut and Carl Silvia and his wife Connie (Gregory) of Chelmsford; six grandchildren, Donna Carolan-Martin and her husband James Martin of Dracut, John Carolan and his wife Laura Anderson-Carolan of Maynard, Kenneth Sholes of Dracut, David Sholes of Dracut, Anthony Silvia of Pine Bush, NY and Daniel Silvia and his wife Amanda of Everett; six great grandchildren, Gianna Giglio, Andrew and Julianna Martin, all of Dracut, Jack, Matthew and Patrick Carolan, all of Maynard. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his four siblings.
