Anthony J. "Tony" Delicato, 85, a resident of Dracut, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at D'Youville Senior Care surrounded by his loving family. For the last four years Mr. Delicato has lived at D'Youville Senior Care where he received compassionate care and met many friends.
Born in Cambridge, MA on January 24, 1930, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Mastrullo) Delicato.
An Army Veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Delicato served overseas from 1951 until his honorable discharge in 1953.
Tony retired from Precision Robotics of Billerica where he worked as a machinist.
Most important to Tony were his family and friends, he had a supportive network of people in his life.
He enjoyed bowling and was a member of bowling leagues at Park Place Lanes in Windham, NH and Academy Lanes in Haverhill.
He loved the Boston Bruins and especially enjoyed trips with his sons-in-law Steven and Alex, and his grandson, Alex Jr.to Montreal to watch the Bruins and Canadians play.
Tony is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Marie and Alex Marshall and Theresa and Steven Barchard, all of Dracut; a son, Michael Delicato of Dracut; his former wife, Bertha "Jade"Linardy of Lowell; three grandchildren, Kristi Townsend and her husband Adam Dunleavy of Danville, NH, Brittany Delicato of Medford and Kaylee-Hope Barchard of Dracut; six great grandchildren, Summer, Austin and Harrison Townsend, Ava Dunleavy, Madison Delicato and Lilliana Marshall; and "Papa" Tony to many; a sister-in-law, Ruth Bova; also several cousins, including Johnny Cuoco of FL. He was the grandfather of the late Alexander Marshall, Jr. and brother of the late Carmen Bova and Julia Roberto.
