OBITUARY
LOWELL - Anna M. "Ga" (Reynolds) (Pitman) Brogan, 85, a resident of Lowell, died Saturday evening, February 24, 2007 at her home. She was the widow of Edward J. Brogan.
Born in Somerville, MA on February 5, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Charles A. and Mary (Murray) Reynolds.
Mrs. Brogan was a graduate of Burlington Union Grammar School and Burlington High School.
The first woman from Burlington to enter the service during World War II, she enlisted with the United States Army in September of 1944 and served with the United States Army as a medic, stationed in San Francisco, CA, until her Honorable Discharge in July of 1946. She received the American Campaign Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Brogan was employed at the E.N. Rogers Memorial Veteran's Hospital in Bedford.
She was a communicant of St. Patrick Church in Lowell and enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family.
She is survived by five daughters, Janice Conant and her husband Scott of No. Chelmsford, Linda Brogan and her husband Jack, Mary Pitman, Peg Pitman and her companion Ruthy Bouchard, Kathleen Brogan and her companion William Lyons, all of Lowell; three sons, Joe Pitman of Lowell, John Pitman and his wife Sandra of No. Stratford, NH and Jim Pitman and his companion Janet DiRocco of Dracut; ten grandchildren, Michele Donovan and her husband Stephen of Haverhill, Charlene Trigones and her companion James Cotter of Dracut, John T. Pitman and his wife Melanie of Lowell, Scott Conant and his wife Jennifer of Dracut, Tom Brogan and his fianc�e Toni D'Angelo of Lowell, John Paul Pitman, Jr. and his companion Jessica Perkins of No. Stratford, NH, Lynn Brogan of Lowell, William Conant and his fianc�e Nicole Haas of Haverhill, Daniel Pitman and his companion Lisa HA and Eugene Brogan and his companion Kate Boumel, all of Lowell; ten great grandchildren, Kortney Dugan, Kaileigh, Kelsey and Ally Donovan, Cassi Doyle, Zackary, Nevaeh and Taylor Pitman, Andrew Pitman and James Brogan. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and friends.
She was the sister of the late Vincent, Charles E. and Bernard Reynolds, Ruth Reynolds and Isabel Taylor.
