LOWELL - Anna L. "Anne" (Chisholm) Blanchard, 94, a lifelong resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 29, 2017, with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Blanchard who passed on July 25, 1994.
Born in Lowell on February 4, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Annie L. (Doyle) Chisholm.
Prior to her retirement, Anna was employed as an inspector for the Raytheon Corp. of So. Lowell.
A devout Catholic, she was a lifelong communicant of St. Michael Church.
Mrs. Blanchard enjoyed her trip to Ireland, going on cruises with her family and especially loved her time spent at the Stage Neck Inn at York Harbor, ME. She also enjoyed doing word search puzzle books.
Most important to Anna was time spent with her family.
Her family would like to thank the staff at the Sunny Acres Nursing home for the kindness, care and concern shown to her while she was a resident.
Anna is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ann Louise and John S. Sech of N. Chelmsford; two grandchildren, Stephanie Ann Sech and her fiancé David Ethier and Matthew John Sech and his fiancee Nicole Costa; also many nieces and nephews. She was a sister of the late Florence Redican, Eleanor Chisholm, William P. Chisholm, Marion Mulholland, Virginia McDaniel and Daniel Chisholm.
