Ann Marie (McLaughlin) Reeney

December 19, 1946 — March 15, 2021

NASHUA, NH – Ann Marie (McLaughlin) Reeney, age 74, a resident of Nashua, NH and former resident of Tyngsborough and Lowell died unexpectedly, Monday, March 15, 2021 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward Leo Reeney, Jr., whom she was married to for 35 years, prior to his death in 2002.

She was born in Lowell on December 19, 1946, and was a daughter of the late Charles A. and Irene A. (Audoin) McLaughlin. She received her education in Lowell schools and was a graduate of the former Keith Hall in Lowell.

Ann spent most of her life tending to the needs of her home and family. Earlier in life she was employed by Lowell Cable Television and Lowell General Hospital.

She loved time spent on the coast of Maine, especially at Nubble Light in Cape Neddick, ME, and trips to Walt Disney World with her family.

Ann will be remembered most for her generosity, being a great cook and baker, and her love for her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was a longtime parishioner of the former Sacred Heart Church in Lowell.

Ann is survived by her five children, Michael E. Reeney and his wife Lisa of Lowell, Karen A. Reeney and her partner Bob MacKinnon of Lowell, Lisa M. Carnevale and her husband John of Lowell, Jennifer E. McDonald and her husband Timothy of Tyngsborough, and Jonathan D. Reeney and his wife Kathryn of Tyngsborough; ten grandchildren, Samantha McDonald and her partner Jarrod Borrelli, Matthew Reeney, Courtney Carnevale, Ryan Carnevale, Hanna McDonald, Steven Carnevale, Jillian McDonald, Kaylin Abate, Alex Reeney, and Evan Reeney; a sister, Mary Day and her husband Robert of Townsend; her brother, Charles McLaughlin and his wife Charletta of Naples, Florida; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was also the sister of the late Rita Smith.
