Obituary
LOWELL - Ann O. (O'Sullivan) Coffey, 82, a long time Lowell resident, died Friday evening, April 28, 2006 in a local nursing home. She was the widow of William J. Coffey Jr. who was shot down by enemy fire over Germany during World War II.
Born in Lawrence on March 3, 1924, she was a daughter of the late George D. and Agnes B. (Beirne) O'Sullivan.
She was a graduate of Keith Hall High School and attended the Lowell Commercial College.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Coffey was employed by the Courier Citizen of Lowell as an executive secretary.
She was a former communicant of St. Michael Church and had been an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary. She also attended St. Patrick Church in Lowell and was a member of the Parish Ladies Sodality.
She was the mother and mother-in-law of the late J. William and Janet (Blazer) Coffey and grandmother of the late Timothy M. Coffey.
She is survived by three nephews, G. Daniel O'Sullivan, Lt. Commander, U.S. Navy, John M. O'Sullivan and Michael R. O'Sullivan, all of Houston, TX; also several cousins.
