LOWELL-Anita M. (Froehner) Lamothe, age 89, a resident of Lowell and former resident of Dracut and Beverly Hills, FL died Monday June 11, 2018 at Fairhaven Healthcare Center in Lowell. She was the wife of the late Joseph R. Lamothe who died in 2012.
She was born in Heppenheim, Germany on September 12, 1928 and was the daughter of Adam and Elizabeth (Witzleb) Froehner. She was raised and received her education in Germany.
For 10 years Anita worked for Kmart in Florida. Before she moved to Florida, she had worked as a nurses aid at the former St. Josephs Hospital in Lowell and later went to work at the former WANG Laboratories.
Anita was a lifetime member of the East End Club and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary in Lowell.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening and playing cribbage.
Anita is survived by her seven children, Connie Golen and her companion Robert Hopkins of N. Chelmsford, James Carroll and his wife Cathy of Cincinnati, OH, Ronald Carroll and his companion Lorraine Catman of Leominster, MA, Barbara Craig and her husband William of Pelham, NH, Deborah Kress of Myrtle Beach, SC, Anita Chartier of Lowell, MA and Joseph B. Lamothe of Lowell, MA.: ten grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren: and a sister in Germany. She was also the mother-in-law of the late Michael Kress.
ARRANGEMENTS – It being her wish, there will be no visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Anita's Funeral Mass to be celebrated at St. Marguerite D'Youville Church, 1340 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 10:00 AM.
