Andrew A. "Andy" Corcoran

January 12, 1955 — March 7, 2013

Andrew "Andy" Albert Corcoran, Jr., a lifelong resident of Dracut, unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, FL. Born in Lowell on January 12, 1955, he was the beloved son of the late Andrew Corcoran, Sr. and Rita (Roy) (Corcoran) Meinholtz.
A graduate of Dracut High School, Andy was a loyal employee of Pan Am Railways for over 35 years. He was an avid fisher and golfer who treasured his family and friends. His enthusiasm for life and his wonderful sense of humor brought much joy to all who knew him. With only two years left to retirement, and looking forward to spending the rest of his days relaxing under the Florida sun, his unexpected loss is a shock and he will be forever remembered and missed. Although his life was cut shorter than expected, the impact he has had upon those who loved him will remain forever a part of their lives.
Andy leaves behind his mother, Rita and her husband, Robert Meinholtz of Windham, NH and Seattle, WA. He leaves four brothers and three sisters; Suzanne Lyons and her husband Barry of Dracut, Lawrence Corcoran and his wife Jamie of Lady Lake, FL, Steven Corcoran and his wife Marybeth of Windham, NH, Nancy Toland and her husband Peter of Tewksbury, Sandra Radochia and her husband Paul of Middleton, Bruce Corcoran and his wife Paula of Dracut and Jeff Corcoran of Lowell. In addition, he leaves behind three nephews and five nieces; Jeremy Corcoran and his wife Sarah of Decatur, GA, Melissa Boyle and her husband Darell of Dracut, Michelle McHale and her husband Daniel of Somerville, Andrea Santos and her husband Scott of Tewksbury, Kelly Hardy and her husband Neil of Lowell, Ryan McInnis and his wife Haley of Pelham, NH, Ashley Toland of Tewksbury and Alexander Corcoran of Dracut. He also leaves behind two grandnephews and three grandnieces: Lily and Saydee McInnis, Benjamin Corcoran, Eric and Eve Santos. He is also survived by his aunt, Claire Shugrue of Lowell and many cousins. He was also the uncle of the late Eric Demers.
