Andrea J. (Zanchi) Vinal

August 30, 1944 — November 23, 2014

Andrea J. (Zanchi) Vinal, beloved wife of the late George Vinal, died Sunday November 23, 2014 at her Dracut residence after a valiant battle with cancer, her family was by her side. She had just celebrated her 70th Birthday in August surrounded by family and friends

Born in Lowell on August 30, 1944, she was a daughter of the late David and Helen (Boudreau) Zanchi.
Andrea was educated in Lowell and was a graduate of Lowell High School. She had been a resident of Dracut for many years.

Andrea worked with her husband in their business, George Vinal, Inc. for several years and had worked in customer service with Filene's and Macy's for 25 years before retiring a two years ago.
Andrea was a devout Catholic who believed in daily prayer. She was a communicant of St. Francis Church in Dracut.

Andrea was an avid reader, she enjoyed shopping and gardening, and most importantly spending time with her family. She was a past member of the Dracut Garden Club.
Andrea walked her beloved grand dog Stanley every day. She especially looked forward to her Thursday dinners with Leah and Susan.
Andrea loved the beach especially Baby Beach in Aruba and Plum Island where she would rent a house every summer.
Her family remembers Andrea's unwavering courage, strength, and determination but also how loving and caring she was. She fought her almost six year battle with cancer with the utmost grace, most not knowing of her struggle. She is the true definition of strength and courage.
Surviving her is her daughter and best friend, Leah Vinal and her husband Dave Short of Dracut; two brothers, David Zanchi of Dracut, Kenneth Zanchi of CA; a sister in law and dear friend, Susanne Anthony of Dracut; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Richard Zanchi.
