LOWELL -Ana F. Costa, 56, a resident of Lowell, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 with her family by her side after battling many health issues for the last 5 years. Ana was born in Terceira, Azores, Portugal on May 1, 1965, and was a daughter of the late Joseph Z. Costa and Maria L. Costa. Ana moved to the United States in 1970 at the age of 5, pursued her education and received her diploma at Lowell High.
Till Ana became ill, she enjoyed working full-time. Ana also enjoyed spending time with her family, coloring on her tablet, and traveling. During the summer, she enjoyed spending time at Camp Fatima in Gilmanton Iron Works, NH. When she wasn't coloring, she enjoyed getting lost in a Hallmark movie. She was a proud member of Saint Anthony's Church and the Holy Ghost Society.
Ana is survived by her sisters, Maria Coelho and her husband, Jose, of Lowell, Cecilia Reis and her husband, Victor of Londonderry, and Lelia Crotty and her husband Kenneth, of Litchfield. In addition, she is survived by 6 nieces and nephews, Francisco, Jonathan, Kassandra, Vanessa, Kristina, and Amanda, and 6 great-nieces and nephews Kailea, Belmira, Justin, Sophia, Jaxon, Zanaiya as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend Ana's Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Tuesday from 10:00 until 12:00pm followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 1:00pm at St. Anthony Church in Lowell. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery in Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ana's memory to UMass Memorial Health at https://www.ummhealth.org/giving.
