NASHUA, NH - Allen R. Davis, 71, a former Lowell resident, but a resident of Nashua, NH for the last 4 years, died Monday morning, March 29, 2010, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. He was the husband of Joanne Lucie (Charron) Davis with whom he would have celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary on April 8, 2010.
Born in St. Johnsbury, Vermont on February 23, 1939, he was a son of the late James A. and Ethel M. (Gable) Davis.
Mr. Davis served with the United States Navy for two tours during the Vietnam War.
He retired from MIT, Lincoln Labs Research as an electronic engineer.
He is survived by a son, Christopher A. Davis and his wife Anita M. (Stuehling) of Mesa, AZ; a brother, Thomas Davis and his wife Marion of Sterling; a sister, Pearl Murray of Lyndonville, VT; two grandchildren, Tyler J. and Abigail V. Davis of Mesa, AZ; three sisters-in-law, Michele Charron of Asheboro, NC, Celeste Page and her husband, Michael of Fayetteville, NC and Elise Bailey of Nashua, NH; his wife's aunt, Lucille Charron of Lowell; also several nieces and nephews. He was a brother of the late Cecil Davis, Raymond Davis, Chester Davis and Earl Creon.
