Alice G. Tanguay

Lowell - Alice G. (Bibeault) Tanguay, widow of Lucien J. Tanguay, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell died Friday evening surrounded by her loving family,at the Radius Northwood Nursing Center following a period of declining health. She was 83.
Alice was born in Dracut on March 10, 1926 a daughter of the late Wilfred and Rose Alba (Gagnon) Bibeault.
She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School, Class of 1943
Prior to her retirement in 1988, Alice worked at the former Pleasant Dress in Lowell and Scottie's Shoe of Hudson, NH.
Alice was a member of the Lowell Council on Aging, and the Lowell Senior Citizen Club. She enjoyed travelling, camping, bingo, crossword puzzles and sewing, but most of all Alice cherished the time spent with her four grandsons.
Survivors include two daughters and sons in law, Suzanne and Albert Mercier of Pelham, NH, Elizabeth and Wayne Goodwin of Durham, NC; four grandsons, David Mercier, Timothy Mercier and his wife Katie, Daniel McGuinness, Brian McGuinness; her son's life partner Thomas Bonnar of Derry, NH; two brothers, Henry Bibeault and Robert Bibeault both of Manchester, NH; two sisters and a brother in law, Laurette Himmel of OH, Rose and Joseph Reid of Nashua, NH; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Emile and Robert Tanguay, and sister of the late Claire Bibeault, Irene Coady, Theresa Bibeault, Jeanne Leary, Romeo, Victor, Leo, Maurice, Norman, and Freddie Bibeault.
