Alice T. (Kondra) Snapausky

Alice T. (Kondra) Snapausky, 92, a longtime Dracut resident, died Wednesday May 21, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late John V. Snapausky.
Born in Dracut on March 3, 1922, she was a daughter of the late John and Stella (Dzykewicz) Kondra.
For many years, Alice was employed as a repair technician for Western Electric and was a member of their Pioneer's Club.
Alice had a passion for dancing, particularly polka dancing and had fond memories of dancing alongside her sister. She enjoyed polka music and was a big fan and follower of Irene & Bob and their Sound-a-bouts Orchestra of Lowell. During the warm months, you could find Alice outdoors making sure her yard was maintained meticulously. She would travel whenever she could as she was always up for a fun adventure. Alice held membership at the Dom Polski Club and the Polish American Veterans Club in Lowell and was active in the PAV Women's Auxiliary.
Survivors include two sons, John Snapausky and his wife, Jane of Salem, NH; Charles Snapausky of Lowell; two brothers, John Kondra and his wife, Mary of Delano, FL; Ainsworth Kondra of Dracut; a sister, Frances Puglisi of Derry, NH; three grandchildren, John C. Snapausky of Methuen; Michael J. Snapausky and his wife, Aimee of Wilmington; Mark J. Snapausky and his wife, Shelley of Salem, NH; five great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was the sister of the late Stella Garbowski and Pauline Indurre.
