LOWELL - Mrs. Alice R. (Rodrigues) Claro, 99, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, died Friday, April 22, 2005, at a local nursing home. She was the wife of the late Jose M. Claro.
Born in Portugal on November 26, 1905, she was a daughter of the late Carlos and Maria (Encarnacao) Rodrigues.
Mrs. Claro was a communicant of St. Anthony Church and was a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Maria A. and Domingos D. Reis of Lowell; a grandson and his wife, Nuno P. and Debra A. (Zygadlo) Reis of Pepperell; two great grandchildren, Rebecca and Brandon Reis of Pepperell; a sister, America R. Ferreira of Portugal. She was the mother of the late Raul Claro.
