Nashua, NH - Alice I. (Prud'homme) Abreu, 79, wife of Manuel F. Abreu, with whom she celebrated 58 years of marriage on July 3, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, died Friday July 7, at her daughters Nashua, NH residence.
She was born in Lowell on February 3, 1927, a daughter of the late Japhet and Bertha (Prive) Prud'homme.
Prior to her retirement she was employed at Sweetheart Plastics in Wilmington and Somerville as a line tender.
Mrs. Abreu was a communicant of St. Michael Church. She was also a member of the Lowell Senior Citizen's at the Smith Baker Center, and AARP.
Surviving her besides her husband are three sons and daughters in law, Manuel J. and Caroline Abreu of Natchitoches, LA, Dennis P. and Nancy Abreu of Dracut, Thomas A. and Jeannine Abreu of Pepperell; two daughters and sons in law, Gloria and Edward Allcock of Nashua, NH, Joanne and Robin Miller of Raleigh, NC; four brothers and three sisters in law, Alfred Prud'homme of New Boston, NH, Joseph and Esther Prud'homme of Lowell, Robert and Lola Prud'homme of Dania, FL, Paul and Debbie Prud'homme of Dracut; five sisters and a brother in law, Theresa Keough of Lowell, Sr. Irene Prud'homme ASAV of Brockton, Doris Norwood of Auburn, NH, Julie Comtois of Dracut, Laura and Louis Brodeur of Dallas, TX; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; a dear friend Vi Bernard of Lowell; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the brother of the late George Prud'homme.
