Alfred J. Goyette

Lowell- Alfred J. Goyette, 89, husband of the late Annette (Motard) Goyette, who died on November 23, 2005, with whom he was married for 65 years, died Wednesday August 2, 2006 at his Lowell residence following a lengthy illness.
Born in Lowell on April 2, 1917, he was a son of the late Henri and Elmiria (Rousseau) Goyette.
During WWII he was employed as a military inspector for the Raytheon Corp.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the City of Lowell Waterworks Department.
Previously Mr. Goyette was the President of Luster Stainless Steel Corp. and was well known for demonstrating and selling cookware throughout the greater Lowell area.
He was a lifetime member of Passe Temp and the CCA Club where he enjoyed playing cards. He was a communicant of the former St. Louis de France Church.
He spent 50 years vacationing at Lake Winnipesaukee in NH, where he enjoyed fishing and boating.
He is survived by two sons, Donald Goyette and his wife Jeannine of Pelham, Raymond Goyette and his wife Kate Pulnik of Dracut; three daughters, Pauline Bover of Somerville, Pearl Petrucci and her husband Harry of New Haven CT, Gail Halligan and her husband Richard of Lowell; a son-in-law, Charles Giardinella of Merrimack, NH; four sisters in law, Jeanne Goyette of Roanoke, VA, Germaine Goyette of Tyngsboro, Rita Verville of Dracut, Patricia Motard of Lowell; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Therese Giardinella and brother of the late Aimee Goyette, Eugene Goyette, Melvina Shaughnessy, Yvonne Beland, Leo Goyette and George Goyette.
