Alfred O. Gagnon

DRACUT - Alfred O. Gagnon, 69, a resident of Dracut, died Monday, March 23, 2009 at Saints Medical Center following a courageous battle with a cancer related illness. He was the beloved husband of Jeannine V. (Boisvert) Gagnon with whom he shared 47 years of marriage.
Born in Lowell on September 19, 1939 he was the son of the late Omer A. and Juliette (Guernon) Gagnon.
Mr. Gagnon was a graduate of St. Joseph's Boys' High School and also received an Associate Degree in Electronics from Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill.
He retired from Lucent Technologies (formerly AT & T) following 42 years of employment, his last position in Quality Control. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and the Communication Workers Association.
He was a communicant of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Dracut.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Daniel A. Gagnon and his wife Heidi of Pelham, NH and Gregory E. Gagnon of Indian Shores, FL; a daughter, Michelle R. Shieh and her husband Robert of Uxbridge; a granddaughter, Renee Gagnon of Pelham, NH; his wife's great aunt, Marie A. Eno of Dracut.
