Aldo A. DeVincenzi

Jul 19, 1929 — Jun 17, 2026

Dracut

World War II Veteran; 96

Aldo A. DeVincenzi, a long-time Dracut resident, passed away on Tuesday, June 17th, at 96, with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Julia (Eliopoulos) DeVincenzi and was predeceased by his son Michael DeVincenzi.

Born in Lowell on July 19, 1929, he was the son of the late Alexander and Susan (Lepore) DeVincenzi. Aldo was a graduate of the former Keith Academy High School in Lowell and received a Business Degree from Northeastern University in Boston. Aldo served as a paratrooper in the United States Army during the occupation of Japanese Islands in the Pacific Ocean during World War II. He dutifully served in the United States and was Honorably Discharged in 1948. He returned to Lowell to begin married life with Julia and soon after made a home in Dracut with their two daughters Gail and LeeAnn.

The child of two Italian immigrants, Aldo was instilled with an exceeding ambition that extended into his professional life. As an adult, he worked during the day and attended school at night to obtain his degree from Northeastern University in Boston. Aldo was the comptroller of H. Berger Paper Company in Lawrence, a position he would hold for 25 years. Aldo retired after having been the owner of Steven’s Business Service in Lowell and was known as the nicest bill collector in the Lowell area.

In his personal time, Aldo was almost always found at one of two country clubs of which he was a member. You could find him on a Tuesday at Longmeadow Golf Club and at Vesper Country Club on Thursdays at a table playing 45’s, Gin, or Poker – he played them all- with his buddies. If he wasn’t at the card table, he could be found out on the golf course. He enjoyed many things, but most of all, he enjoyed family gatherings.

He is survived by his two caring daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and Tim Green of Dracut, LeeAnn and Dennis Conners of Lowell; five grandchildren and their spouses, Chris and Amy Green of Lowell, Leah and John Micalizzi of Sugar Hill, NH, Brittany DeVincenzi of Westboro, Brett and Kelly DeVincenzi of Mount Vernon, NH and Nikolas DeVincenzi of Dorchester, MA; several great grandchildren; three sisters, Gloria Williams of Hartford, CT, Maryann Carelli of Nashua, NH, and Sandra Gonsalves of Chelmsford; also several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the Nurses and caretakers at Northwood Senior Care, especially Julius, for the care and kindness they gave to Aldo. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, a contribution may be made to the “Michael DeVincenzi Scholarship Fund” c/o The Greater Lowell Community Foundation, 100 Merrimack St. Room 202. Lowell, MA, 01851.
