Albert E. Pomerleau

PELHAM, NH - Albert E. Pomerleau, age 100, a resident died Monday, September 19, 2022 at the West Roxbury VA Medical Center.  He was the beloved husband of the late Pauline R. (Bergeron) Pomerleau, to whom he was married for 52 years prior to her death in 2014.  

He was born in Lawrence on May 2, 1922, and was a son of the late Alice (Chateauneuf) and Wilfred “Pop” Martineau and the late Wilfred Pomerleau.  

Albert honorably and proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II.  

Prior to his retirement, he was employed for many years as a mailman in Chelmsford for the United States Postal Service.  

Albert was an avid golfer and he enjoyed camping, playing horseshoes and spending his winters in Plant City, FL, which he did with his wife for 30 years.  His greatest joy however, was spending time in the company of his loving family, especially his adoring grandchildren, whom he never missed a chance to be around.  

He is survived by his twins, Kent R. Pomerleau and his wife Brenda of Pelham, NH and Kim M. Beaudoin and her significant other Jeffrey Margolis of Nashua, NH; five grandchildren, Corey Pomerleau and his fianceè Kelsey Kieth of Quincy, Bradley Pomerleau of Lowell, Richard Beaudoin, Jr. of Nashua, NH, Rachelle Beaudoin of Nashua, NH and Brian Beaudoin and his wife Katie of Manchester, NH; a sister, Jeannette Gaulin of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews, including Elaine and Normand Plouffe of Dracut. 

He was also the father of the late Brian E. Pomerleau, the father-in-law of the late Richard Beaudoin, Sr. and the brother of the late Raymond Pomerleau, Leo Pomerleau and Doris Gilbert.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Albert’s visitation on Friday, September 30th from 9:00am until 10:00am at St. Francis Church, 115 Wheeler Road in Dracut followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:00am at the church.  Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Albert’s memory to the West Roxbury VA Medical Center, ATTN: CDCE (135),1400 VFW Parkway, West Roxbury, MA 02132.
