Agnes E. "Aggie" (Desmarais) Adams

DRACUT - Agnes E. "Aggie" (Desmarais) Adams, a Dracut resident and beloved wife of the late George A. Adams, Sr., with whom she was married 63 years at the time of his death, passed away on Wednesday September 29, 2021. She was 87.

Born in Lowell on March 21, 1934, a daughter of the late Hector and Margaret (Voter) Desmarais. Aggie grew up in Lowell and graduated from Lowell High School in 1952 and Bradshaw Business School in 1953.

She worked in banking for over 30 years. Aggie was with the former Union National Bank and retired from the former Fleet Bank. She was a communicant of St. Francis Parish in Dracut and held membership in the Dracut American Legion Auxiliary Post 315, and the D'Youville Manor Women's Guild. Aggie was also a poll worker for many elections in Dracut.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Timothy G. Adams and his wife Kristen of Londonderry, NH, Thomas F. Adams of Derry, NH, Desiree Adams of Epsom, NH; great grandchildren Brodie Gannon of Dracut, Kennedy Adams of Londonderry, NH, Kenneth Thomas Adams of Derry, NH, Faith Adams of Derry, NH; her stepsons, Robert Adams and his wife Linda of Merrimack, NH, George A. Adams, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Atkinson, NH; step grandchildren, Kerry Bredbenner, Amy Driscoll, Derek Adams, Danyel Adams, Kristin Bazemore, Lauren Adams, Devin Adams; step great grandchildren, Alissa, Haley, Colby, Sean, Kevin, Chase, James, Carson, Rae Lynn, Colette; brothers Kenneth Desmarais of Baltimore, MD, Richard Desmarais of Searsport, ME; and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Kenneth G. Adams (Ken's Auto, Pelham, NH) and sister of the late Lucille Desmarais, Louise Johnson, Robert Desmarais, Edmond "Jim" Desmarais, Rita McDonald and Albert Desmarais.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Aggie's Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Monday from 5:00 until 7:00pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9:30am at St. Francis Church in Dracut. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford.
