Lowell - Adeline R. (Mendonsa) Pulaski, a long time resident of the Christian Hill neighborhood in Lowell, passed away with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at a local health care facility. She was the beloved wife of Stanley W. Pulaski who died on January 21, 1979.
She was born in Lawrence, MA, a daughter of the late Antonio and Anna (de Santo Antonio) Mendonsa.
Adeline attended local schools and had been employed as a dress maker for the former Pleasant Dress Shop in Lowell.
She enjoyed playing cards, ballroom dancing and playing bingo with her dear friends of many years.
She enjoyed traveling around the world throughout her life including trips to Portugal, Hawaii, Florida and the Caribbean Islands.
Adeline's greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren who fondly called her Nana and Nana II.
Her family was her life. She never missed a holiday party or event where her family was involved.
Adeline was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church in Lowell where she also sang for many years in the choir and taught Sunday school as well. Adeline also sang in amateur shows at the Rialto, the Portuguese radio show on WLLH and also in variety shows.
She was a member of the Lowell and Dracut Senior Citizen Clubs, the Polish American Veterans and the Senior Brunswick Ladies Bowling League, where she won numerous trophies for her excellent bowling.
Adeline leaves her two daughters, Patricia A. Costa of Bristol, NH and Gail M. Sullivan and her husband Kevin of Lowell; four grandchildren, Kimberly Cassidy and her husband James of Hudson, NH, Kerry Rivard and her husband James of Danvers, Eric Sullivan of Lowell and Ryan Sullivan and his wife Aimee of Lowell; 8 great grandchildren, Haley Fritz, Hannah Ferrara, Owen and Sean Rivard, Julia, Ava, Kailey and Colin Sullivan; also several nieces and nephews. She was a sister of the late Mary Wain, Marion Cunha, Jenny Silveria, Alice Pace, Anna Reilly, John, Roland and Anthony Mendonsa.
PULASKI - Relatives and friends are invited to Adeline's Life Celebration on Friday from 4 until 7 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10:30 AM in St. Anthony Church, 893 Central Street. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.
